Larry J. Pritchard, D.D.S. | Waco, TX Oral & Maxillofacial SurgeonDr. Larry Pritchard is a native Texan born and raised in Winters, Texas. After receiving a bachelor's degree from Baylor University he attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, graduating in 1975 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He received his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1979 from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. During his residency he served on the house staff's of Barnes Hospital. After completing his residency he accepted a position as an Assistant Professor in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with Washington University in St. Louis. While there he participated in an intramural practice actively taught at the graduate/undergraduate levels and was chief investigator on a National Institute of Health grant regarding temporomandibular joint disorders. He has published several articles in the scientific literature and delivered many presentations to professional audiences. He completed his requirements for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and passed the examination in 1980 earning the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a member of many professional organizations and has served his local dental society as and officer and eventually presiding as president of that organization. He returned to Waco to enter private practice in 1980. Dr. Pritchard has a special interest in dental implants and reconstructive jaw/maxillofacial surgery. He lives with his wife Mary Katherine, and four sons, Jack, Brandon, Addison and Colin, on a 120-acre farm outside of Waco and enjoys raising Angus and Chiangus cattle.
